Our Freeze-Dried Turkey PhytoSenesce Treats are a healthy and delicious way to sneak in a healthy dose of phytochemicals. The treats are 82% Turkey and 18% of our Senescence Blend. These treats are jam-packed with natural goodness - your pup won't even realize they're doing something good for their health! (Though you'll be able to tell from those happy tail wags)

Turkey Dark Meat

There is actually a reason why we decided to use Turkey and specifically the Dark Meat. Dark Meat contains higher levels of Taurine, in addition to being a valuable source of both Tryptophan and Niacin. While Tryptophan is commonly associated with serotonin and melatonin synthesis it is also an important precursor to Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) Which is a compound currently being widely research for its therapeutic benefits in a number of health conditions.

While almost everyone is aware of the benefits of taurine for heart conditions it is getting interest for its potential to positively affect epigenetic changes, suppress DNA damage, increase health span, and reduce cellular senescence among others.

Senescence Blend

Each of the ingredients was chosen due to the presence of compounds with senomorphic and senolytic properties.

Senomorphic

  • Apigenin (Parsley, Pak Choy)
  • EGCG (Green Tea)
  • Resveratrol (Lingonberry)
  • Kaempfreol (Arugala)
  • Urolithin A Via Gallic Acid (Strawberries)

Senolytic

  • Pro Cyanin C1 (Apple)
  • Fiestin (Apple, Strawberries)
  • Quercetin (Pak Choy, Apple)
  • Curcumin (Turmeric)
  • Piperlongumine (Long Pepper)

While we placed emphasis on the compound's senolytic and senomorphic potential, that isn't the only mechanism of action supported by these and other compounds within each of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

While it is common to see black pepper included with turmeric or curcumin due to the presence of perperine, Long Pepper also includes Piperlongumine, which is absent from Black Pepper.
