Each of our dehydrated primal treats is a combination of muscle and organ meats from a single species. While they are not nutritionally complete and balanced, they do come relatively close, with a few exceptions.
Besides the nutritional aspect of including organ meats, they also serve another purpose. Most dogs and cats find the organs to be more enticing than muscle meat. This is the opposite of most of us who would much rather have a steak than liver or kidney.
While Organs are a great source of essential nutrients, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. This is also the benefit of diluting the amount of organ meat in the treats by including good amounts muscle meat.
